Did you know that the Lord defines true beauty in a woman not in the ways of an ungodly man who desires the woman who dresses profanely, but He defines a woman’s beauty by her “holiness” and how she worships and serves Him. For He says to “Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” (Psalm 29:2). Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness is in the Bible four times.
Furthermore, the Lord abhors the woman who has turned her true beauty into the beauty of the world: “Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred.” (Ezekiel 16:25) A godly man will love the beauty of holiness in his wife and will abhor the appearance of the woman who is of the world. Any man who is drawn into temptation (by his own lusts in his heart) by the worldly woman is either not saved or is a new babe in Christ. The godly man sees the beauty in a holy woman and puts great value on her and sees the worldly woman for who she is.
A few days after our marriage, my husband walked into the room and saw me wearing something he liked, nothing worldly or seductive, and he grabbed me and said, “This is what I love, I love the holy woman in you. You do not ever need to change the way you dress.”
The Lord has shown me, and my husband has demonstrated to me over the years that a woman who is holy is of great value to her husband, far above the worldly woman in all her glamour.
