With the pure, thou wilt shew thyself pure.

Ps 18:24

SOME QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE…

Jesus loves the sinners doesn’t He?

Yes, of course he does. He loves the sinners so much that He died for them. But He loves His church so much more. He loves the church for their pure devotion, dedication and love to Him. He values their separation from the worldly ways with their lives being consecrated to Him. In righteousness, the churches lives are lived out in speech, dress and mannerisms. Women who dress immodestly are either new converts or they love their lives more than God Himself and therefore may not be saved. When one becomes a new creature in Christ, he (or she) throws off the garments of old ways (including clothing), and puts on the new garments of the new man. The leaders of the church who allow lasciviousness into the churches as normalcy are held accountable to God.

Isn’t the Church made up of a bunch of sinners?

No, the church body is comprised of saints who sin. The true church walks to a much greater place and standard than the world (not in “religiousness” but in cleanliness). It walks in the ways of Christ, displaying holiness, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance (Galatians 5:22). Immodesty and lasciviousness have no place in the church other than the sinner who comes in repentance and wants to cast off her old ways. In this case, the church should receive her in joy and teach her the ways of God that she can be pleasing to Him.

Why do Christian women dress immodest?

Christian women dress immodestly because the church leaders and their husbands allow them to. Immodesty is only the fruit of the plant. The fruit of what we see (immodesty in women), comes from the root which is filthy desires and imaginations, because men’s hearts and desires are filthy. When the men become pure and demand holiness, us women will follow. Because church leaders and men desire things that are impure, particularly women dressed immodestly, women follow by giving them the desire of their hearts because women naturally want to be pleasing to men. A man who loves God, will not allow his wife, daughters or congregation to dress filthy because he truly “cherishes” the women that God put in his life to be a keeper over. Again, if church leaders and men will put their foot down, most women will submit to men respectfully and those that don’t, God will have fall away from the church.

Who are you to be the judge?

We are not the judge, only the Lord Jesus is. We are simply messengers of Christ sharing where the church has gone astray and are praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ that they may repent of their evil ways and turn back to the Living God.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17 God judges the house of God.

Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way” (Romans 14:13). Again, we are not here to judge one another but to speak against the stumbling blocks (immodest dress and seductions) and occasions for our brothers and sisters in Christ to fall.

There is some question regarding judging from a believer But we have the duty to test:

“Prove all things, hold fast that which is good” (I Thessalonians 5:21).
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (I John 4:1).

Any woman who professes the name of Christ should be of modest apparel and of good works.

1 Tim 2:9-10

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments,

lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.”
